Botox-How BAD is it!?!




Botulinum toxins (also known as boTOX) are among the most toxic poisons. It is also the most common cosmetic procedure used in skin care to temporarily reduce fine lines and wrinkles. So do most people understand what they voluntarily inject into their bodies and the repercussions of this sought-after muscle paralysis? I don't believe most people do their homework as they are told it is a safe procedure when done in small doses.


I've had botulism, and it was one of my worst experiences, so I wouldn't go out of my way to have it injected into my body. I also have a joke regarding reality shows...you always know who are going to be the craziest characters by how much botox they've injected in them.


Neurotoxins like Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are injectable solutions that temporarily block muscle nerve receptors to prevent wrinkles. Neurotoxins are synthetic or naturally occurring substances that damage, destroy or impair the function of the central and/or peripheral nervous system. Neurotoxin exposure can manifest as widespread Central Nervous System (CNS) damage. Frequently, the neurotoxins produce/create body inflammation and discomfort when the nerves are already weakened. It does not have to transpire where you received the injections.


What are some of these neurological symptoms? Fatigue, aches, pains, tingles, numbness, vertigo, dizziness, tinnitus, eye floaters, nerve pain, neuropathy, burning skin, spasms and restless leg syndrome are a few results of neurotoxins.


Troublemaker foods like eggs, dairy and gluten only exacerbate the symptoms while a toxic environment will, too (yes, those candles, perfumes, air fresheners and those awful dryer sheets).


HEALING FOODS


To heal your Central Nervous System and the nerves is to understand that both are fueled by glucose and mineral salts. Even the brain runs on glucose and mineral salts. So, to heal from neurological issues, you must consume GOOD sugars (from fresh fruits) and mineral salts (from leafy greens and celery). I also want to point out that please never eat fruit with any animal protein as your body won't absorb these essential healing sugars. Eat your fruit fifteen minutes before any animal protein or two hours later.


Drinking fresh organic celery juice first thing every morning is a powerhouse to heal from neurotoxins. For restless leg syndrome, I also recommend drinking fresh celery juice with parsley juice on an empty stomach before going to sleep.


I also like fresh thyme brewed in a cup of tea or added to my morning smoothie.


HEALING SUPPLEMENTS


Sometimes people need additional help to heal. It's essential to take a suitable B12 (there are only three brands I like), licorice root, lemon balm and magnesium glycinate.


Most importantly, it's critical to be mindful of what you're putting into your body because it's so easy to take your health for granted until it starts deteriorating. Our bodies are bombarded daily with toxins in our home, the air and the environment. Please recognize what is causing further deterioration...putting in "a little" is already too much. In fact, eating a plant-based diet will help fade fine lines and wrinkles on their own while you reap all the healing benefits.
